Hosted at facilities in Peer1 at 151 Front St, Toronto.

First server we ran Debian (stable) on, and we'll never go back (NEVER!).

Hardware

  • cheapo 1u chassis from sonnam
  • p3 1.2ghz
  • RAM: 512mb
  • Hard Drives: 2x40gb IDE, raid 0 (mirrored)

Challenges

  • MEMORY - stupid motherboard has a 512mb limit! no playing with ruby on rails!
  • CPU - stats packages, non-php-scripting, etc. eats into it
  • Hard Dries Space - starting to run out.
